One in five of Clicks’ recruitment team has Indian heritage. Hearing how the second wave of COVID-19 is impacting them and their family in India, we knew we needed to show our support in a meaningful way. This is why for the month of June, the team at Clicks, along with our candidates, contractor and clients are taking Steps to India in support!
Supporting CARE Australia, our goal is to collectively walk 14 million steps, or 10,347 km’s from Canberra to New Dehli. In the process we aim to raise $10,347 – one dollar for every kilometre to assist CARE’s COVID-19 relief work in India.

A second wave of the coronavirus pandemic is sweeping across India, with a devastating impact on people’s lives. If we can’t flatten the curve and stop this second wave, India is likely to see 600,000 new infections every day.
Hospitals are overwhelmed and running out of oxygen. Intensive care units are full. People are being turned away from emergency rooms because they just don’t have the supplies.

CARE’s COVID-19 response in India
Our incredibly dedicated team in India is working around the clock to help stop the spread of COVID-19 – working with the Indian Government to set up temporary hospitals with supplies of oxygen, medical staff, medication, PPE kits and more.
CARE has already set up two fully functioning 100-bed COVID Care Centres in eastern India which have already started admitting patients. With your help we can start creating more facilities right now.

Should the funds raised through an emergency appeal exceed the amount required to meet the immediate and longer term needs of the people in the affected areas, or if there are changes in circumstances beyond CARE’s control which limit its ability to utilise all funds in the affected areas, CARE will direct excess funds to other emergency relief activities in the future.
Monthly donation will go to emergency relief & preparedness activities where it is needed most.
